The Russian cruise liner the Mikhail Lermontov sunk in Port Gore under mysterious circumstances in 1986. At 176m long she is an enormous and awesome world class wreck dive, with most of the ship still intact. As the ship can be a little daunting, at Dive Picton we will only take divers with experience (see requirements below) to ensure everyone has a safe and comfortable dive.
- Visibility: 5 -15m
- Depth: 15 – 30m
- Schedule: meet 7.30am, return 4pm

Weather and time permitting, we also allow for a stop at Queen Charlotte Wilderness Park – the worlds first carbon farm. And your very own custom made Lermontov Log Book Page! A 3 day option staying at the Queen Charlotte Wilderness Park is also available.
Minimum certification requirements:
- Minimum 10 dives
- Experience in temperate water
- Evidence of a deep dive qualification (such as a deep adventure dive)
